How much Toilet Paper do you use?

Please excuse the digression… This isn’t exactly safety related but seeing as I got this information during one of our monthly sales meetings from Jerry Simpson, the sales rep for Kimberly-Clark (http://www.kimberly-clark.com/) I feel justified putting it in here (OK, I’m not really, but just humor me for today!).

Based on studies conducted by KC with our own products we have estimated the following usage data;

  • Standard Roll Bath Tissue (Like we use at home) perforated sheets – Usage per event (trip to bath room) 100 inches of tissue
  • Jumbo Roll Bath Tissue ( stadium size rolls ) Non perforated rolls – Usage per event 104 inches of tissue
  • Folded Paper Towels (Multi-fold or tri fold) – Usage per hand wash  2.5 towels per person
  • Roll Towels ( Electronic, Lever Operated or Hands Free) – Usage per hand wash 22 inches

Okay, let’s put this in perspective. 100 inches = to more the 8 feet of toilet paper. Sheryl Crow might have a point here (Don’t know what I’m talking about? Go to http://newsbusters.org/node/12226 and find out).

I’m not going to comment further on this but if you have comments, please feel free to leave them!
