Sudden Cardiac Arrest vs. Heart Attack

People often confuse sudden cardiac arrest and heart attacks. They are not the same thing. A defibrillator will do nothing for someone who is having a heart attack. A simple way to know the difference is to remember that a heart attack is a plumbing issue (there’s blockage) while a sudden cardiac arrest is an electrical issue (the heart goes into fibrillation).
