Don’t Be in the Dark About Child Care

When Kristen Shumbera dropped her 5 month old son Lincoln off at daycare that morning she had no idea that when she picked him up later that day he would have a fractured skull and an epidural hematoma. An employee of the daycare was arrested for allegedly not reporting that she accidentally dropped him on his head while he was under her care. The injury has left Lincoln with some speech and emotional issues but doctors hope that he will make a full recovery. Other children haven’t been so fortunate.

Accidents and fatalities in daycare facilities are, sadly, not uncommon. It’s a parents worse nightmare and one that you shouldn’t have to face.
